Cambodia News, (Kampong Speu): A young man drove a motorbike to a bridge on the Prek Prek Tnaot River and jumped into the river in an attempt to commit suicide.

Prior to the incident, a 17-year-old named Sim Phanit, living in Prey Pdao village, Trapeang Kong commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province, was seen driving a Honda C125, with license plate Kampong Speu 1P4909, driving from north to south, when he stopped in the middle of the bridge, parked his motorcycle, and jumped into the river to kill himself on the afternoon of December 5, 2020.

The Kampong Speu provincial authorities were fortunately notified in time to save the young lad and he was rescued.

After rescuing the young man, the police took him to the Chbar Morn City Police Inspectorate for questioning and called his family to take him home .
