Phnom Penh: On July 26, 2018, Mr. Kuch Kimlong, the prosecutor of Phnom Penh court charged a 16-year-old boy for having sex with a minor and using nude photos of the 14-year-old victim for extortion. The suspect identified as P** Pi****, a student, and the son of a military officer.

The victim's parents went to the Department of Human Trafficking on July 23, after the suspect had shared the nude pictures of the victim online. On July 29, the judge will question the suspect and decide on the verdict.

The source said that the 16-year-old suspect and the 14-year-old victim study at the same school. In 2017, they started a relationship as boyfriend-girlfriend and were always hanging out together. In 2018, the suspect took the victim to the mini cinema, where they started having sexual relations. After that, they continued to do it again and again. A while later, the victim thought that it was not right, so she told her boyfriend that she didn't want to have sex with him anymore.
The boyfriend got ugly, and he threatened to post naked photos of her on social media unless she changed her mind. Unsurprisingly, this blackmail did not make the girl want to have sex with him. He then posted nude photos of her on social media, and victim's family filed a complaint to arrest the suspect.

When the suspect, P***P, was sent to court, the military family tried to hide the information.

Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Saturday charged a Grade 11 student with producing pornography after he allegedly posted nude photographs of his 14-year-old classmate on Facebook in revenge over her refusal to continue their sex trysts.

Deputy prosecutor Kuch Kimlong charged the 16-year-old high school student with having sexual intercourse with a minor and producing pornography. He faces up to five years in jail if convicted.

The accused was arrested on Friday and is in prison pending trial.
