D.I. Riviera Homeowner's Open Group

Looking for an apartment to rent in Phnom Penh? We have you covered. This is a good starting point for expats who are in the process of moving to Cambodia to live and work. Finding a villa, condo, flat, or borey to stay in when you arrive is probably one of your top priorities. Check out our listings from the community! And if you have a house or apartment for rent, you're welcome to list it here for free. Kampot, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, and other provinces around Cambodia also have places to rent, but you might have better luck finding them on foot after you arrive, as the largest number of listings are in the capital city of Phnom Penh.

D.I. Riviera Homeowner's Open Group

Post by J. Visiting »

Welcome to the group. You don't have to apply, you are already welcome.

CEO members and owners too, are wondering what is going on with D.I. Riviera.

Well, the short history is that some mistakes were made. But that is history.
Who has time for that.

The current news is that the company that was brought in to deal with the future
of DI Riviera is great. "B" building is part hotel and part private residences.

"A" building is starting back up towards completion.

"D" and "E" are not getting worked on. Maybe a new plan is needed.

Thank you for starting this group! I’m extremely concerned about the future of DI Riviera. The completion of Building A is way behind schedule. The construction of Buildings D and E have been on hold for a year now. I bought units in Building E. There has been no new information from the developer. I heard that the Chinese developer (Jixiang) was in deep financial trouble and that Canadia Bank was waiting to take over those two buildings. I’m so worried about the future of this project. Will I ever get the units I bought? I’m having nightmares :-( I’m looking to connect with other people who have bought condos at DI Riviera Building E and see what’s really going on. Thanks!

According to this, the workers are so desperate to get back pay they set themselves on fire and cut power to the occupied building so tenants can't use the lifts

:voilent4: :mob:
police came on site to take away a Chinese worker who was attempting to set himself on fire in protest to them not being paid for their work.

They will do something to give people hope for a month or so and back in the gutter after that. They will repeat this process, coming up with a scheme that will shut up the investors for a while, all the time knowing it will never complete.

Each time they have fewer investors arguing, as it will be a written off by more and more until everyone has given up.

I've been recommending for years that people stay away from these projects, steering them to MFI's instead. About time to cash in those MFI's as well.

Thanks GJMS for your advice.

Hanmz is in a big hurt. Let's try an help him. Others may have a similar problem.

Actually, I had that same problem. They did not build my unit. On the other
thread I said "they wanted me to change my view". What that meant was that
they wanted me to take a different unit. I am not very popular here on CEO,
and in real life, NO ONE bought a unit on the same floor as me. So they did
not finish that floor.

Maybe someday the new developer will feel safe to come on here at CEO
and tell us about plans for saving the financial plans of the buyers. Wait,
"feel safe" ? On CEO ? I don't think so.

Today is sunday. And tomorrow is a holiday. I will go there and find someone
as soon as they open.

Don't make any effort before Thursday. Wednesday is a holiday as well because they carry over independence day.
