Re: Looking for a Condo
Sounds like the ideal place you are looking for.Doc67 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:01 amI stayed in the one bed apartment in Luxe for 4 days in September as I had the builders in. The furniture is old and uncomfortable (wooden crap), the bedroom is small. The units are very old and tired. It's ok for a short term stop-gap but for a long term arrangement it's a not for me. Plus, every time you walk out the front door you get shouted at by tuks and slappers.Kenr wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 8:23 am I’ve been searching online and have even been in contact with a broker, Bobby Peoples, but unfortunately he hasn’t provided much that meets everything I want. I have been in contact with two (2) places that I will be checking out when I get there on November 11th.
Lux Riverside and Apartments on St 136: 1-bedroom w/balcony for $750 per month with 1-year lease. They have cheaper options but I wanted a balcony.
Season Residence on St 144: 1-bedroom w/balcony $600 per month with 1-year lease. Again, cheaper options available.
Both of these are spitting distance to the river.
I will definitely be looking at other places when I get there, but finding places online has become kind of a pain in the ass. Even after communicating with several brokers and searching their websites, some don’t provide all the info to see if it has everything someone is looking for.
Seasons might be worth a look.

Re: Looking for a Condo
As long as a small cambodian condo condo costs more than a fully equipped 3-4 room appartment here in Italy I call it a crazy pricing.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 11:39 am
... when ten minutes drive in any direction one can find great value houses, apartments and bungalows for $100-600 with far nicer surroundings and ambience

Be nice to know where and what it's called, it just may help a little.J. Visiting wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 7:07 pm
$ 380 first and deposit 3 month minimum
The apartment is not as big as either of the pools, but includes everything but the sheets and towels.
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

I'll hazard a guess and say DI Riviera as I remember @Just Visiting had the problems with the security guards.
Did you ever get an outcome on that matter?

Re: Looking for a Condo
A friend of mine has has a succession of condos over the past five or six years. All on the fringes of Doc's preferred area. All one bed units, reasonably sized and priced in the $700-800 range.
He says the trick is to go for ones with a European or American builder and managing company.
But he always leaves at the end of the year because of something or other. Bad neighbours (from a particular nationality), electric or other service charge rip-offs, construcion/renovation noise etc.

There is a place named 110 Residence Apartments, I’ll be checking it out as a possibility when I get there.
Anyone on here familiar with this place?

The view from the apartment is good and the people seem friendly.
Moto parking is ten dollars a month.
