1 bedroom services apartment

Looking for an apartment to rent in Phnom Penh? We have you covered. This is a good starting point for expats who are in the process of moving to Cambodia to live and work. Finding a villa, condo, flat, or borey to stay in when you arrive is probably one of your top priorities. Check out our listings from the community! And if you have a house or apartment for rent, you're welcome to list it here for free. Kampot, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, and other provinces around Cambodia also have places to rent, but you might have better luck finding them on foot after you arrive, as the largest number of listings are in the capital city of Phnom Penh.

Interesting. When these lower rents spread to the condos/serviced apartments north of Sihanouk, I might be tempted.
It would be annoying to be surcharged 25%+ on the electric, however.

It looks big but the washing machine is still on the balcony exposed to the elements as if it is a 30sqm

I’m not sure that $500 for what is in essence a studio with a sliding door between bedroom and kitchen is ‘lower rents’.

A few years ago this kind of place in this area was 350-400.

I meant for a condo/serviced apartment. I don't think you mean that rents for these were so low before, but do correct me if I'm wrong.
AFAICT, rents for condos/SAs have (until recently) been at least 3X the rent for the equivalent space in older style places.
But the sheer oversupply of condos/SAa has led to a substantial fall in rents, but so far only in the Russian Market area.
BTW, 70m2 is good for a one bedroom condo. The small studios can be 25m2 or even less.

It's a surprise price within that range, they can't tell you until you agree to sign a contract.
