It probably works well if you were lying on the floor, as they do.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Why do Khmers always install tvs so high? Ridiculous...

Re: Apartment For rent
And Thailand's extortionate? I pay $550 a month for a one bed, fully furnished (and modern) apartment with a gym and swimming pool. That includes twice weekly cleaning, internet access, cable TV, Western style kitchen, a parking space (which admittedly I don't use), 24 hour security, a reception staff which caters to my every whim (including arranging transport, delivery of parcels, etc.), a cafe in the building (both cheap and good quality food and coffee) and full laundry facilities. My electricity bill is 1/4 what it was in Siem Reap too. It's also within walking distance of the old city; that is "where the action is" (what little there is in Chiang Mai).

I don't remember anyone ever trying to say that rentals in Thailand were bad value. Interesting to get the comparison, but I will never live in Thailand anyway so it doesn't really matter.TheGrinchSR wrote:And Thailand's extortionate? I could do better back home (as long as I went North) than the apartment in this advert. It's the worst value I've seen anywhere in Asia. You could get better value in KL, Saigon, Bangkok, etc. than this. It's genuinely appalling and "ease of visa" doesn't cut the difference at all.John Bingham wrote:I don't remember anyone ever trying to say that rentals in Thailand were bad value. Because little kids have dirty greasy hands. I mount my TV's up high on the wall too.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
