Position description:

*Work with a small team of copy editors to ensure that national news stories are clean, concise and accurate

*Oversee the selection and layout of international news stories, opinion pieces and photographs

*Work with other editors and copy editors to ensure that deadlines are met

*Collaborate with editorial staff to constantly improve the overall quality of our print product

Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

*Minimum of 2 years experience as a copy editor, proofreader or news editor

*Keen eye for detail, passion for grammar and firm understanding of AP style

*Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

*Ability to train new hires on the job

I used to be a journalist and sub-editor. I can't imagine trying to do that job here.

What's that copy editor? Perhaps someone recently reprimanded at the KT could fill the position.

What are the local papers going to pay for this sort of job, or for being editor? I see there are a few openings around.
