Yoghurt

In all my years, and even when I was on the farm I have never bothered to make yoghurt. So last week I sprinkled a tablet of Probiotics, which has about 12 plus different types of bacteria in them, on top of a one litre of milk in a makeshift warmer. The bottom rice cooker has a cupful of hot water and is on the keep warm mode overnight. The yoghurt came out very good which surprised me, so am trying another lot , just to prove it wasn't a fluke.

any live yoghurt works as culture.
you can put it in a cloth and let it drain for nice fresh cheese.

freeze dried sachets can be had in health food stores overseas in many different varieties.
If you keep a bit of the active yoghurt for further batches, it lasts almost indefinitely if you practice somewhat sterile procedure.

Maybe you cannot read the label on the picture I posted, but there are 11 different types of bacteria listed on the label
