First post. Luigi's on St 308 is my fav, been there every time we visit. Il Forno, St 302, and Italian House, St 312 are quite good as well.

I just tried Molly's sandwich shop for the first time and thought it was quite good. There's a post on TOF saying she is ex-Fatboy's, and I noticed that she offers a "Dagwood" sandwich like Fatboy's. then I noticed that the whole menu looks a lot like the Fatboy's menu, though I didn't due a full investigation to determine if it's an exact copy.Rain Dog wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 10:29 am
Unfortunately they offer neither proper Rye or Sour Dough (You will have to go Whole Grain or Honey Oat) but Molly Das does excellent Pastrami and/or Corned Beef Sandwiches. They are my go to choice when I crave a Reuben Sandwich. The Khmer owner is ex-Subway overseas so they follow the "Sub" Sandwich model.
St 172 about a block east of Blue Dolphin plus they deliver.
I'm surprised she doesn't sell potato chips. How hard is it to buy some bags of potato chips, mark up the price, and put them on the menu?

As I understand she is actually an ex-owner of a subway franchise, forget where but obvs not in KOW (you'll note her breads are all named after the types there) anyway, as a long-term fatboys fan I tried Mollys and I haven't bought a fatboys since. You get a lot more for your money and I prefer her meats. To say she copied fatboys which is a copy in itself of subway just bring it full circle I guess.Cam Nivag wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 12:30 pmI just tried Molly's sandwich shop for the first time and thought it was quite good. I like her food. She prepares everything herself onsite and bakes her own bread rolls.
Her business services a lot of walk ins but also a lot of businesses and schools have her deliver.
It is all her own work and service is always with a smile. If your in the area give her a try....

Chatting with her once, she had mentioned she had worked in Subway in Africa for a number of years (not specific which country). I think she might deliver chips if you asked ... she does cookies ... once delivered beer with my sandwich on a rainy night where i could not be arsed to go outCam Nivag wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 12:30 pmI just tried Molly's sandwich shop for the first time and thought it was quite good. Taxi, we'd rather walk. Huddle a doorway with the rain dogs

Same here... Liked Sarapino's for a bit... but I crave for a really good deep dish pizza, chicago-style. Has anyone found such a place here?

First try of Brooklyn Pizza last night. Tried the BBQ Chicken. Pizza is not really slice, but not as thick as Pizza Company. Large chunks of chicken. (Missus didn’t like). Crust was chewy and thick. Salad was large. Overall tasty. Will try again on the return after announcement.
