Do Westerners Eat Bugs ?

Never driven around the countryside at night? Big plastic sheets with UV lights on top and water pits at the bottom. Crickets get attracted to the lights, hit the sheets, and drop into the water.

They lose a feww that way, disappearing down my throat as I am gawping at the traps and dodging dogs and motos with mo light on. Rwa budg do not taste nice. keep mouth shut

I don't think anyone actually eats cockroaches, that would be pretty revolting. I know in Thailand they do eat Giant water bugs, called Maeng Da แมงดา, which might look quite similar. But no one in the right mind would eat a cockroach in that country, I assume and hope that would also be the case here. :stir:

Yes, they are Giant Water Bugs. Taste like crap. I don't mind the crickets but the problem is that the oil they are fried in is often very old.
