I think I know what you mean about anchor being too smooth. Cambodia was always pretty close with anchor. Anchor was just what I always drank my previous time here.

Gone are the days when a big bottle held 750 ml.

Do they still have Darwin stubbies? How much in one of them?

Started production 1958. Discontinued production 2015

Carlton and United Breweries stops regular production of NT Draught
SHAE MCDONALD, NT News
May 2, 2015 8:26am
The NT News can reveal Carlton and United Breweries will announce it will no longer brew the Darwin stubby on a permanent basis.

Territorians have been left reeling by the imminent loss of the two-litre longneck, gone too soon at the age of 57.
CUB NT sales manager Lincoln Jenkin said the decision to halt regular production of the brew was not taken lightly.
“NT Draught is a big part of our history,’’ he said. Born in 1958, the beer had its heyday in the 1980s and ’90s.
Mr Jenkin said over the past 10 years its popularity had steadily declined. “It has very much become a special souvenir item,’’ he said. “Territorians don’t drink it so it’s not something they’ve been picking up on their weekly shopping list.”

Mr Jenkin insisted the beer, which retails for around $30, was “not gone forever” and would now become a heritage brew.

Did people drink that beer out of the bottle or did they pour it into a glass?
