The Pub

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Lonestar I liked the fish tacos back in the day. The place also never seemed to attract any of the 172 crowd despite being right off 172.

As for Phnom Penh bars, any recommendations for a good craft? I’m stopping by Hops among others, wondering if any new places opened.

Yes, Craft on Palace Lane.

I haven't been in there in many years, is it still on that odd street off 172? They used to have good food. What else have they got? Tacos, sandwiches?
They have the best pork chops and ribs I have tasted in Phnom Penh. They also have an excellent sausage and chicken gumbo, good sauce for their hot wings, country fried chicken and gravy, a good chicken salad, corn on the cob. The best western food restaurant in my opinion and by far the best prices.

And I did check out The Pub a few months back, wasn't impressed with the food at all.

Botanico, Embargo. Do NOT go to Prince brewing, one of the few beers I did not finish.

FTFY :beer3:

It's a small place tho and when busy can get very smokey.. For non smokers who like US food, head to the Freebird bar and grill on St 240. It has a non smoking policy downstairs, however perhaps not as good value. There's also a cigar room upstairs.. :tophat:

Nah, they seem to have a pretty good spread of all western style food. I appreciate the attempt though.

Nicki owns it now, she's the girl who runs it (with an iron rod).
