There are people who laze around the village just wearing a big krama with their belly hanging all over the place. There is the "Beijing Bikini" that many drivers indulge in. However if you look at the average farmer, laborer, construction worker or sportsman here they tend to be wiry as fuck. Pure muscle. 8-)

I said I never saw a fat or a skinny shirtless foreigner walking around in the cities, I only saw steroid filled foreigners. So it must have something to do with brains. If locals are shirtless I dont care, its their country. Or if the tourist walks shirtless on the beach. If you are visitor, respect customs.
