Didn't know that. Must be a (relatively) new development. I mean you won't find too many foreigners there.StroppyChops wrote:Orrussey is known for being the worst psaar in town for pick pockets and scammers
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht
In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

The shop I was talking about is across the street from Orressey. Orressey is no worse than any of the other markets maybe even a bit better because it is not for tourists. If you want to pay more go to the Sen Veng Yu by Central Market they have the coffee makers also at a special barang price. The shop by Central Market is pretty and safe.

Okay, clearly I should have qualified... It's known as the worst psaar in town for pickpockets and thieves for tourists.
Your experience/knowledge may vary, just going on what I've been told by numerous people.

Olympic market also has lots of household stuff at decent prices. I'm sure you could find one there. Taking a picture with you is a great idea to prevent confusion and save time as well.

The shop across from O'russei sounds like a good lead. I looked all over the markets a couple of years ago and couldn't find one. Good luck!
Re: In search of stove top espresso maker
The shop is right across the street from Orresey sanwiched between tow tailor shops. It is about in the center of the block. It is called Sin Veng Her. It is the same coffee as the shop near Central Market just half the price for coffee.
