I partly agree. The potatoes were definitely a bit dry (but well seasoned). I'm not a potato fan myself but they kind of help fill you up (and I'd want to be full for that price). But to be honest, I always find potatoes starchy and dry (despite some Irish genes). The first time I ever tasted non-dry potatoes in my life was at Cavern, where they're roasted with tons of oil or something. Oh, and I guess well-made mashed potatoes aren't dry.
Regarding the sauce, it just shows how it comes down to personal preference. I love it when it's zingy/lemony and don't like bland sauces... If the sauce doesn't have that "zing" to it, I'm not going to like it. Also, I'm pretty sure the ham wasn't pressed ham but pork loin. I can't really remember but looking back at my pics, I'd say that's pork loin ham, not pressed ham. Or maybe they ran out or something? If it is pressed ham than I agree it's a bit disappointing. The best ham was definitely at Cavern (which have since stopped doing Eggs Benedict). Either way, I agree that it's an overly priced dining option, especially for breakfast. I haven't been back for that reason. One could get a massive breakfast at other places for the price. But then again, nice settings etc.

Followed your footsteps to Brown (the one up from Titanic) and just had the Eggs Benedict and a flat white coffee.

Totally agree with your comments on the food. Really good value. I don't know why they don't chuck in a second egg and charge $4.00 - I'd be more than happy to pay that if they did.

The flat white was pretty good, definitely the best one I've had for some time.

A recent addition to the Eggs Benedict list. I went to Java upon jakeincambodia's recommendation. They don't exactly have eggs benedict. It's “eggs florentine”. For 4.75$ you get two eggs on a toasted bagel with sautéed spinach, a bit of hollandaise sauce and some country potatoes.

The eggs were well cooked and the bagel was a nice change from normal bread. The hollandaise wasn't really hollandaise in my opinion. Not enough of it and not sour enough (again, I like SOUR hollandaise). Only had a few potatoes but they were good. A bit soft (I was expecting them to be crispy after seeing the colour) but good. Overall it was pretty good value for 4.75$. Strangely enough, upon finishing my meal, I had this urge to chat about "capacity building", "livelihoods" and “strategic planning”.

Had the eggs benedict at Brown coffee a few days ago. It was delicious and great value! They also have a breakfast burrito with jalapeno mayo which was damn good too.

Yeah, I tried the burrito a couple of days ago and thought it was pretty good, but I don't really have anything to compare it to, not being experienced in Mexican food.
