Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Thanks.

Do you need a certain notice period or could just ring and order?

What would you charge for a full rack?

Looks like dinner one night this week is sorted.

Kiwi,

We will do you a full rack with two sides for 15.00.

If you give us a heads up, I can make sure you get them right off the smoker.

LS: GARC smokes them at 200-220 forever. A good friend of mine was the original chef (I think you know him), set, everything up, stayed a couple years, and opened his own Mexican place. Since he left, I pretty much forgot about the GARC. We were staying in Thonglor, starving, hadn't eaten all day, so that = ribs. The meat is incredibly tender but not yet falling off the bone. Perfect smoke ring. I think they get apple wood from up Chiang Mai way. I dig their rub too. They've got a huge smoker the size of a VW bus. Good cole slaw, good corn bread, & they smoke the beans too. They're maybe a km down 36 on the R. Seating is primarily outside under a huge Banyan Tree. Great margaritas too. Don's BBQ in Phuket was quite good also, but I have f*cking hated the island pretty much since around a year after the tsunami and haven't been there in at least 5 years.

That sounds great. There is a Lone Star in Pattaya run by a Brit. He has a commercial on TV talking about how they slow smoke their ribs for 5 hours. I stopped in and tried them.............and I think they baked and or fried them..............no way had they seen the inside of a smoker.

I would happily recommend Lonestar to anyone at anytime...when the owner is there.

I also feel we should thank him for helping numerous people, including my friend Jeffrey.

Great bar and good music. Good, strong coffee.

I don't like American football/basketball, but life has taught me that sometimes, not getting everything can actually be good for you.
Jesus loves you...Mexico is great, right? ;)
