Yeah genova has a great location now, close to the river, but still in a relaxed area. Nothing like the mayhem that used to be on 154 at dinnertime.

Since Monkey Mark's is taken, I'll vote for the BBQ clams $2, scallops $2, seafood fried rice $3, & Anchor draft $.50 at Khin's Shack toward the E end of Ocheteaul. ps: forgot the onion rings $2 which are as good as I've ever had.

Is it right at the end where makara bungalows are or a bit closer to the middle? Heard about that shack quite a lot of times but never been there.

Probably 75% the way down. It's before a dilapidated Army compound. The sign says 999 or maybe 666.

Khins Shack is my first stop in SHV. I'll throw in a vote. Nice pre-rolled spliffs. My girl loves their papaya salad. Said it's one if the best she had. I'm not going to lie.... I go there for beer n weed.

I prefer the Ganja Shakes (sounds like something you get when you drink too many).

We did that at floating village on Tonle Sap, and the waitress burst out laughing and went around mocking us in Khmer to the other Khmer present in her village fishwife screaming voice. Our guide lost face and was clearly wondering if he should step in, I hand-gestured 'no' to him, and when the waitress came back for the order we ordered only in Khmer.

Dead, horrified silence in the restaurant, but it still took the waitress a moment to register we'd understood - and then she at least had the grace to feel shamed. What I particularly enjoyed was the sh!t-eater smug smile on our guide's face as he gave the waitress the "that didn't end well, did it?" look.

Every meal I've had at Sher E Punjab on 130 has been excellent. The Thai place next door - Lemongrass is good too, though not the value it was a couple years ago. Don't sit outside at either place. There are rats the size of Raccoons running underfoot.
