That "thing" looks awfully overloaded..how is the underlying tomato sauce ever going to cook/reduce ? It will stay liquid, wet the dough (that wont impossibly get crispy) and drain off all the toppings leaving a chewy mass. Less is more on a good pizza. 2-3 nice shrimps and some pieces of octopus would have been enough.
Pfffh, nonsense.
This pizza is the favourite of the Lord Commander of the Vietnamese special forces. He regularly sends black ops across the border to pick up an order from our man Matteo.
He was given the freedom of Saigon and a part share in a diamond mine in gratitude for this creation.
Nope ... but first time in Vietnam, 2013, used to drink, eat and be merry with Da Nang Police Chief (former VC Lt) and his crew on a 120-foot pizza boat/ship that used to be docked on the river across the street from Bamboo Bar in Da Nang ... his wife cooked pizzas and excellent Vietnamese food. They tried to get one of the server girls to marry me. Those were fun times.

LOL. It's funny that you have a photo of pizza's you claim you cooked a couple of years ago but you didn't take a picture of the snake you took out of your eye.

Welp ... it's still just a unidentified thing. I suspect it is a parasite, not snake. So busy with all things wedding ... recovering ... big New Years party at the compound this weekend. Plan to get an ID confirmed next month after all the holidays are completed. Will be sure to post the results.

Oh, come now.
He just got dolled up in his wedding clobber, but didn’t treat us to view of that snake. We’re being let off, lightly.

Yeah, Olive & Olive was just ok before but now not so. The staff seem like they'd rather be elsewhere, understandably. Romano's is pretty good. Recently discovered excellent pizzas at Aussie XL, bit of a trek getting there but worth it.

You are spot on … exactly the case first try … solved it by double baking the crusts in advance of the toppings getting loaded … really crisp … my sauce is made from scratch using some really good local-grown non-GMO d’maters … the people seemed to love this style in Vietnam. The pizza retail joints typically use GMO products due to the bottom line.
