Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Yes. That's what I mean. Pizza's in Kampot for example are much more expensive, smaller and of lower quality. I know OliveOlive isn't the best Italian restaurant out here but it's a place that you can go to regularly without breaking the bank. And they do have really nice dishes that you can't find anywhere else.

:stir: i hope the rent has come down or the prices will be sky high,3 yrs ago when HOOTERS were refurbishing that spot the rent was over 5k a month,as it had 2 fronts one on the riverside the other on 104st,if Hooters deemed it unprofitable to carry on with the project what chance has Olive Olive. :assasin:

Khmer logic dictates that the rent is now 8k.
And their pizza were always good value for money also.
I always shudder when I read about food being "good value for money". To me that reads "it is crap but at least it is cheap crap" :stir:

We loved Olive & Olive in SNV- they have a pasta I really liked, fish I’d excellent and pizzas are great.
They have yummy dips etc as well.

I am thrilled about this, especially since it’s on 104.

It's still open and no plan to close. They have long contract. Mike's burger next door has long contract as well.

That is good news, I like Olive & Olive and they were more than just pizza's which were massive with decent ingredients, it was certainly the only place I ever ate at if I ever had the misfortune to be in Sihanoukville town. A nice range of mezze dishes, salads and other things, its a good option to take a family out too without breaking the bank so long as the prices stay the same. They've been in business a long time so I'm sure they know what they are doing with rents etc.

Rent for sure was steep.
Also the outfit was a problem for most "not bar" girls.

Food was always good. The owner is careful about his suppliers and brings in most from importers in Thailand. The opening will be a painful experience for lots of PP restaurant owners. Yup, very good value and, no, no crap at all. It always helps to talk from own experience.

Nice to have Corey in PP.
