Nachos
Re: Nachos
Just went through their menu, massive indeed. I noticed the prices were a bit on the large size too?
I tried Carne Asada Burritos in San Diego many years ago and I have been meaning to try them again. At $7.45 for what is a filled wrap, it seems a bit on the lumpy side. No fries included either. Are they very big?

Re: Nachos
Also carne asada supposed to be marinated steak, not taco bell fast food
Re: Nachos
Yes, I usually find LP servings on the large side, but I'm a Brit, so that might be normal - if I were from Texas, I'd probably be disappointed?!Doc67 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 9:37 amJust went through their menu, massive indeed. I noticed the prices were a bit on the large size too?

I went there last night. It was probably the worst meal I have had here. Completely disgusting.Spigzy wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:24 amYes, I usually find LP servings on the large side, but I'm a Brit, so that might be normal - if I were from Texas, I'd probably be disappointed?!Doc67 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 9:37 amJust went through their menu, massive indeed. I was expecting something like this:
What I got was this pile of schlop. It was so hot, having been put in an oven to the point that everything inside boiled, the burrito returned to it's original soggy dough state, except the edges that went dry. Then it was covered with slimy stuff being passed off as cheese (maybe that got the Chernobyl treatment as well.) It took 10 minutes, and cut up, before the plate and food became safe to approach.
Then it really started to go downhill. It had no distinguishable flavours or textures or even seasoning, except for the beef which was tough and made a bee-line for every gap between my teeth. It was amazing that it was so bland and yet so disgusting, all at the same time. I managed to give a bit away, ate a few mouthfuls, then feigned being full. They wrapped it up for take away (didn't take the hint), so I gave it to a friend who seemed to like it.

Re: Nachos
main cooks night off?
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST
Re: Nachos
Can tell from the little dish of home made hot sauce that it is definitely Lone Pine, not so sure about the meal - not something I've seen before...

Well, sorry for the shit recommendation in that case; they used be very, very, very good with my only complaints there being the wait staff being thick and semi-invisible - always had stellar food there before but that does look terribleDoc67 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 11:31 amI went there last night. No manager to make a complaint to?
Re: Nachos
In my experience complaints are a waste of breath because it causes embarrassment to my group and the staff and time pressure made an alternative not viable (8:35pm)Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 3:18 pmWell, sorry for the shit recommendation in that case; they used be very, very, very good with my only complaints there being the wait staff being thick and semi-invisible - always had stellar food there before but that does look terribleDoc67 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 11:31 amI went there last night. It was ordered in advance (by a friend) and the 'wet' option was chosen on my behalf. I have no idea why you would take a good product and plaster it with plastic cheese and bake it into oblivion.
I'm going to make one mysefl at home. How hard can it be?
