I'm at Flavors of India on 163'right now. I don't think any of the riverside ones are up to much, except the one near Viva that might also be a Flavors of India.

Does anyone rember the name of the Indian restaurant that was on Riverside about 6 or 7 years ago? Was it the Shar E Punjab? If so, it was highly recommended by a group of Indians I met who said it was good authentic Indian food. I just tried to look on Google maps and it seems that, if it was the place, it's moved round the corner now.
It's got good reviews on trip advisor. I was thinking about trying an Indian soon, so I may just eat there this week and report back.

Sher-E Punjab was at the same location as your map shows 6-7 years ago. I went there a lot in 2012, but haven't been there since

Sher-E-Punjab has been at that location on 130 since at least 2006. They have another restaurant on 258 and might be involved in one or two more. I like the food there a lot but it has that stodgy north Indian thing, maybe too much Ghee. That's not something I ever expected to write. I prefer southern Indian food really, it suits the climate but I'm not fussy. I could easily eat Indian food every day for years, it's good stuff.

I'm a sambar chutney dosai man too, but I do like the odd Alu gobi, veg jalfrazi, chat masala, dhal fry, chapati, nan etc from time to time. So can anyone remember what the Indian on riverside was called? I just had a look on gearth but couldn't find anything.o
Those Mumbai tourist were raving about it whatever it was.
Are there any good Southern Indian restaurants in PP?
I used to go to Chi Cha for breakfast Chia garam and Dahl chapati, but got bad tummy a few times. Lol. Always a risk.

Tastebudz is southern Indian style and very reasonable and tasty. The inside is nothing fancy, but you could almost imagine you were in a roadside cafe in India.

I'll post more when I'm not trying to do it with fat fingers and a small phone, but in the meantime -- how much fun is it to receive all these suggestions for other Indian places? I can't get enough Indian food, even though it tears, me, *up*.
