Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Compared to Popeye's Chicken (or any other real food), KFC is garbage. Even in the states, KFC gives a whole new meaning to "junk food." I hunger for Popeye's red beans n' rice, Cajin' mash and gravy and their signature chicken. I've never had a bad piece of chicken at Popeye's. I don't see how KFC sells that crap in Cambodia with a straight face as its a joke. (a bad joke.)

I'm not a fan of KFC. I didn't get good food at there. Beside a quiet place and easy to chat with friend, i don't go there. I don't know if KFC in other countries are same quality like in Cambodia?

i dont really have western brand take away food that often though, even in England i rarely eat, in Asia i have had a mcdonalds twice, burgerking twice and a few KFC's (all in Thailand) never had any in Cambodia
i always eat from the local street vendors or get a take out from a restaurant

I almost never eat any of the fast food chains crap. But the (very) occasional Zinger burger does hit the spot! Had one here when it opened and probably won't have another one for 12 months or so,(I much prefer Thida's chicken and mushroom pies which are only a 10 metre walk away and cheaper if you get the 3 for $5 deal). But it was as good as any Zinger burger I've had in Australia!
