Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in sihanoukville, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & food porn is always welcome.
Now that looks good! Are they homemade or from that Pisey's Bakery place in Sihanoukville? What's inside?OrangeDragon wrote:vladimir wrote:Where are pictures of the pastries, OD?
Free advert justified, you're welcome!
I'll raise you an apple pie and a pizza :
I know it doesn't look that enticing, but it tasted really good. Gonna buy a proper pyrex baking dish soon. Where can I get those small metal trays?
These turned out "ok". Too sweet despite reducing the sugar by almost 50%... I think it's that Thai sugar that's weird and feels like rough sand.
Tortilla crust: not amazingly great but very good for whenever I feel like a speedy pizza (not enough cheese, I know... And it's cheddar too!)
Homemade crust: the quick-rising kind, but very good nonetheless.
Making another homemade pizza tonight, so get ready for some pictures...
LOL! Of all the people to get it, it's Giblet... Go figure. You guys need to brush up on your internet memes...giblet wrote:Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Too many potatoes, not enough meat. Carrots cut too pointy. Would not eat.
(not sure anyone will get the reference)
Both. She is Pisey's Pastries. And that batch was Steak & Ale I believe. Now that looks good! Are they homemade or from that Pisey's Bakery place in Sihanoukville? What's inside?
Next time she does an Apple I'll post up some pictures... we get the metal bowls at random Khmer metal stuff shops. Looks for the places that sell metal pots and pans/etc.
