It says HOT on the menu. They ain't kidding!

Anyway, today is FRIDAY which means $5 specials!

Come and enjoy it before they close all the bars and put us in lockdown!!
Yeah, I've had it twice and it's indeed hot. I'd say if you're not used to chili, it might be a stretch. Having said that, I think it's very good albeit I havent had it for years..

Re the further VIP member 10% discount, I asked the owner whether there's any special requirement to join and the answer was no, you just need to ask for it and obviously common sense says it may not apply if you're a new face.
I just asked for the latest on the VIP discount scheme from the owner.

At the moment they have a new Point of Sale system being installed and once that is settled (within a week) names will be entered and thereafter you'll get the 10% automatically. In the meantime it's a part manual system and the discount will need to be applied manually. Personally, at 75c a beer, I don't bother asking.

So, for the next week, it's regulars only who get the discount, so show your face a few times and you'll get the discount quickly and get entered into the new system.

Once tourists return they'll require a bit more proof that you are a resident, but for the time being the fact you walk in the door pretty much proves that.

Positano hotel: i was there 13 months ago, everything brand-new, nice people, good service and in my eyes best price/quality rate !! I payed 30 dollar a night, 2 breakfasts included !! Especially if Harrys is your main bar during the day, its perfect location. Had some minor issues, because it was brand-new: they had instant-coffee and tea on the room, but forgot the kettel !! When i asked, the answer was, sorry, the boss comes next week from singapore and will bring it !! OOh my preaah, but suddenly, the next day, there was a brand new kettel in my room !! The breakfast is okay, but its only given on the toproofbar, which is nice to see one morning, but after 3 mornings, you get bored, better skip the breakfast and eat at on the riverside in my eyes, but couldnt skip it at that moment, and officially its still like that. But will go definitely there again when back in town (hopefully this year) !!

Just to clarify: Harry's is the bar where Manhattan used to be, which was Monstah Bar beforehand and Cadillac originally?

The southern unit was Cadillac, not sure about the other one that they knocked through to to make that double front.

Ah ok, makes sense. Yeah I used to go there a lot when it was Monstah Bar (whatever unit that was), still went a bit when it was Manhattan but they tried to make it a bit more upscale and it didn't seem to work. Still went to Harry's a few times when they opened/changed hands/renamed but haven't been in ages. Food was always decent, though I mostly just drank sundowners.

If any other craft beer lovers, they carry Stone Head beers (As of January 2020 they did) https://www.stoneheadcambodia.com/ourbeer/

And Harry's is right around the corner from the Cerevisia beer garden.

You can keep your craft beer ( just an excuse to inflate the price) and most taste shit

Not a chance. Some of the craft beers in Cambodia are very good and taste much better than the local stuff, Angkor being terrible and Anchor & Tiger palatable.

With so many different craft breweries and the varieties of styles they have, I find it hard to believe you wouldn't find craft beers that you enjoy the taste of.

A craft beer now and then is fine, but they're a bit bloating and not always ideal as a refreshing hot weather beer (or say, a beer to drink rather copiously after intense physical exercise).
