Ham anyone?... General?....

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Weird coincidence. We lashed out and had pizza last night, but spent an hour listening to an American guy holding stage on pretty much everything, but especially on Aussies putting beetroot on pizza.

Different varieties of both. We actually prefer the smaller Cambodian pineapples, still undecided on the beetroot. Beetroot as a hot roasted vegetable is a relatively new idea in Australia, we all grew up with it being a salad item that mum insisted on bringing to picnics and then stressing about the mess, or on sandwiches or burgers. Unlike a certain breakfast cereal, not all Aussie kids are beetroot kids - typically you feel strongly about it one way or the other. Pickled onions, now, let's talk about pickled onions! Or cocktail onions with curried eggs in the Christmas salad!

Pineapples on pizzas ???

Have mercy. There is a difference between a pizza and a cake.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist
