Food deliveries - not working?

Post by Pizzalover »

I just spoke to a friend over the web about food and deliveries. It seems that the delivery services in PP like Panda and Nham24 and others probably, too, work with some geo locators. This means the customer can only order from restaurants in his own lockdown area. He tried to get something from olive olive near the night market on riverside to be delivered in BKK2. The app told him that he could not. I am not a tech guru and use old fashioned phone lines and emails. So I can get deliveries as the restaurant's own delivery seems to work.

Does anyone have an idea to beat the system or app?

They will likely not accept the order if outside the zone.
You can start the order with an address near the resto, then flip to geolocate just before checkout.
It will go through but they will likely cancel it.

Are they letting food deliveries through the barricades with the armed police? Just order from your side of the roadblocks.

Here in Sen Sok, if I order from a restaurant in Sen Sok it still comes up "we can not deliver to your area" Neither Food Panda or Nhyam 24 are working for me, last night and today.

It seems their own dedicated delivery works city-wide. They have the permit and can pass. That's why i was surprised that the delivery services dont work. Maybe it is organized like grab and other web-based business models. the workers are actually not workers and therefore have no permit. Which means that the apps are now of limited value and phone numbers might be better. this might matter.

For the last two nights it's been strange, the food panda app just comes up in your area. But then after a while they all restaurants, food outlets come from out of your area. Had Nam24 deliver last night from out of the area, way out to be fare. I have nearly managed to obtain what I want. I would say the guys delivering are a little weary of the road blocks, and situation.

I have been doing this to order from TTP to the north of the city. No issues so far.

There are many restaurants that are closed but are open on Nham24 and other delivery apps. It's a good idea to call first before you order.

It also helps to order early for a later delivery as they limit distance when drivers are busy.

@ Olive & Olive we do delivery to most areas, we had (our delivery team) some delivery issues at the beginning of the restrictions but now since we prepared proper paperworks for them, we can deliver to most zones, since most of the apps is limited to 3 km. vicinity, if you cannot find our restaurant in the apps please contact us directly.

if you would like to order from Olive & Olive Mediterranean Restaurant please call: 0964441919 or send message via: WhatsApp or Telegram.
Thank you all please stay safe.
