had stirred fried frogs, papaya salad, coconut soup n drinks, very reasonably priced, all for under 25$, not cheap but reasonable, lots of tourists come in there guided by their guides

The only thing that means is that the restaurant pays good commissions to the guides....guided by their guides

and free lunch or dinner, there is a guides tables near the toilet, same as anywhere in the world, no biggie, as long as food is acceptable and price is reasonable

Agreed, but regrettably that is not always the case. I've been to many restaurants where the guides/drivers ate better than the guests they were reeling in.
