FCC in Phnom Penh

I was thinking about the FCC / Riverside, maybe someone have recent Info about the reopening of this icon hotel & restaurant that closed around the end of 2018 and nothing since.

Is it iconic? Went a few times and never found it any better than the places across the road

Service was slower. No real history there from what I understand and overpriced compared to the competition

Don’t think I’d rush back if it ever did open

If you want an overpriced beer the one on Siem reap is still open

Edit: I should add that it is a lovely building and nice that it still exists

No, the company spunked so much money on the Siem Reap branch that there was nothing left for the Riverside one. Then COVID hit. They had grand plans and perhaps they will come to fruition. Although it was only set up in 1993 by patching two shophouses together, it was a nice venue. It wasn't cheap but then you always have to pay extra for nice things. 8-)

Isn't it owned by RMA group the same outfit that owns Ford and others?

Thanks for these detailed info,I was not aware about FCC in SR have put the owner in a financial rut. I really missed the FCC, this corner now looks deserted.
