Enjoying Prahok with a local family

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Enjoying Prahok with a local family

Post by thomaswanhoff »

We started something new for fans of the authentic Khmer cuisine and city people: At Dine With The Localshttp://www.dinewiththelocals.com we want to connect travelers and locals through food experiences in Cambodia. Although we are not a cooking class, our hosts are more than happy to explain you how to make Krueng-Paste or frying water hyacinth. We even have workshops for Nom Chak desserts. We are in Siem Reap (of course, thats where the tourist buzz is), but also in Phnom Penh, Battambang, Beanteay Meanchey and soon in Kratie and Kampot. We are a young startup with not so young people, 4 female Khmer and one male foreigner (me). So, if you want to try out local food and meet new people or have guests coming to Cambodia, check out our hosts in our platform. Image
