Did someone forget to plug in the toaster? Maybe they need smaller plates there as well.

^ Mrs Stroppy likes her toast like that, you take the bread out on a warm morning and show it the sun, it's done. Me, I prefer fire and brimstone.

(Yes, I'm feeding the troll a soundbite to misquote me with :D )

Apart from the incredible frugality. This reminds me of PP food. Burnt meat, and a flaccid excuse of some salad. Is meat always so overcooked?

Looks like a fine meal to me, I have never seen such a long French fry.
It's possibly Italian.

In Defense of Cadillac.

I have been a few times over the past couple of months. I cannot comment on the photos shown above, but my own experience:

1) Chicken Steak:
Normal Price Value: Fair by Riverside Standards
Friday $5 special: Very Good

2) Caribbean Chicken (1/2)
Normal Price Value: Good by Riverside Standards
Friday $5 special: Excellent

3) Chicken Wings
Normal Price Value: Poor even by Riverside Standards
Friday $5 special: Fair
Comment: My only disappointing experience but expect more than 6 wings for $7.75

4) Chicken Parmesan
Normal Price Value: Good by Riverside Standards
Friday $5 special: Superb Value

5) Beef Tips
Normal Price Value: Fair by Riverside Standards
Friday $5 special: Good Value

Other Comments:

1) Had a service glitch one time where my dish was served first and I waited over 10 minutes for my companion to be served. Annoying. To his credit -- the owner noticed without me complaining -- came over and introduced himself -- apologized and took the dish back to be warmed and offered me a free beer for my troubles. Good Service Recovery.

2) I Mentioned he was getting bashed on the forums and he seemed unaware but interested in seeing what was being said. Don't know if he will react or not.

All I can say is that except for some mild disappointment with the Chicken wings, my experience has been first rate there and the thread title is quite unfair and inaccurate in my view even with respect to the specific experiences others have had there.

Interesting update. I'm half-tempted to see what all the talk is about and make up my own mind.

IMHO that's the only way to do it. While I agree to let people know if you have a bad experience. You should always check it out for yourself.

Maybe they were having a bad day... Maybe one persons expectations are higher meaning they don't think it's as good as it should be.

Everyone should make their own mind up.
