Mike's burger house is one of the very few places which stocks Sierra Nevada.

That's a fucking Angkor bottle on your table. Your opinion is disqualified.

A burger joint getting cred for having a stupid bottle of beer? Seriously? Where all the sane people at?

The point is that one who chooses a bad beer over a good beer when rarely given such option is lacking in judgement. I am speaking about the customer, not the joint.

Beer is not stupid. You should apologise to beer for your foolish outburst.

Fax, you're being a douche-bag. The photo was a stock photo found on the internet. It was meant to highlight the type of burger one may encounter whilst dining at Mike's Burger House.

Whatever is in the background is not germane and is inconsequential because no one in this thread personally took that photo.

So you're basically arguing about the poor taste in beer of some unidentified person on the internet who took that photo. Probably Mike himself. Why don't you go there and take it up with him.

Go out into the fresh air Fax, it'll do you good.

I would be very interested in hearing about burgers that are more US fast food style (not too fussed with BK and Carls Jr). I'm not that keen in gourmet type restaurant hamburgers. I'm more interested in how it tastes rather than how tall a burger can be made to look good on instagram. Mike's burgers are poor tasting anyway but you can tell it will be bad just by observing that it is twice as tall as it is wide.

Cousins burger is better but still guilty of being an instagram burger rather than an eating burger (it sure is pretty and overly tall). Also I fundamentally disagree with the real cheese they are using there, I had slices of some mature cheddar type cheese and it utterly overwhelmed the burger. I want my burger to have a slice of American style fake plastic cheese.

What kind of burger are you after is it is a US fast food style that is not BK/Carls Jr?

Plastic cheese shouldn't be anywhere near food of any kind, yes it melts well but if it doesn't actually taste of anything then what is the point?

In a perfect world, Wendy's. Both those 2 options are ok but not great. BK kind of dry/low fat because of the way they cook it, Carls just tastes funny.

To me it tastes of fast food burger. A cousins-style mature cheddar absolutely dominates the flavour and spoils the whole thing.

It's not you, it's me. My tastes are pretty working class (actually pretty council). I like Richmond sausages more than high quality butchers sausages too.

Lucky Burger is definitely not tall despite the pics on the walls. Last time I had a Double Lucky Burger, I lifted the top bun and found a small piece of lettuce hiding under there. I was going to report it to the management, but then I thought 'No, say nothing, they wouldn't understand anyway'.

p.s. The latest from Lucky is that they don't bring your meal to the table anymore, they just call out numbers and you have to go and collect it.

haha, only messing around, eat what you like. I do agree a strong cheese can overpower sometimes.

I don't mind a richmond sausage with a fry up.

Misread that as Wimpy at first somehow. "Now you're talking" I thought!
