That chick learnt her butchery skills from working at Strokesys, she then resigned and started her own shop on the opposite side of TTP, no where near as good as Strokesys.

The Meat Shop also claim to have the best meat pies in PP, which honestly isn't that hard to do considering the pies here all suck, but unfortunately their pies suck too.

P.S. The owner (foreign guy) is a poster on K440, not sure if he posts here, but if he does I would welcome his side of the story

It might be a good thing if they could stick a sign up on their shopfront with the business hours on it.

And Strokesys could benefit from putting prices on their meat packages.

Has The Meat Shop moved from 450?

Why? Everybody knows you have a better future running your own business than working for others, so if you acquire the skills and have the capital, what's wrong with it?

What happened to the concept of free market competition?

I think anybody that takes on an apprentice/assistant is aware of the fact that at some time workers may do this.

If, as several posters claim, the Aussie place is better, they will survive, and in time people will simply choose the best value.

The pie I had at The Meat Shop was very nice, the bangers were good, but nothing special, but I'm not a great fan of British sausages, German and French way better, imho.

Maybe sometime I'll do a pie tasting and...wait...let's have a pie and banger-off!

Strokesys vs. The Meat Shop :snorting: :D

Good God, I agree with vlad. Though if true, opening a competing shop right nearby is a bit unprofessional.

Thank goodness, now I can sleep at night.

You mean unprofessional like Wall St?

I recently visited the meat shop to buy some stock for my bar-restaurant. I was very impressed with the service. And I can say even more satisfied with the quality and tastes of the goods.
And Jaimie the Lincoln sausage is first class.
