Re: bought some mangoes today
Mangoes get stringy when they are overripe and are also less delicious. That would be why she sold them to you cheap.
Did you think it was becuz you are a hansum man ?

This is not the season for primo mangoes unless the trees were sprayed with a hormone. It is also possible OP purchased imported mangoes.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

That means nothing, all those little old ladies could have bought them from a middle man. I've been growing them on my property for 15 years, 4/varietals in all. This is NOT primo mango season.

Soursop like sandy soil in particular in mountainous areas. They can grow year round, but September and October are the best months to buy.

Lesson one from tarra,,, ,, Never trust little old ladies.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Why restrict the mistrust to ladies that are just little and old!Duncan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2017 7:19 pmtaabarang wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2017 6:48 pm 'i doubt they were imported. was purchased from a lady sitting on the street among other such ladies selling what look like their own produce."
