Beautiful food in Siem Reap

Post by mammothboy2 »

The food at the DANCING FROG on Phsar Krom Road (about 8 minutes' walk from Monument Books / Terrasse des Elephants Hotel) is brilliant and (comparatively) cheap.

It's not a brilliant location, what with motos whizzing past the open front, but the food is arguably the best French food in Siem Reap.

Also, arguably and almost certainly correctly, it's not the best French food in town. There's a huge amount of competition for that accolade and Olive would certainly be up there competing for it.

Jamie - if going by tuktuk or moto, ring the number I gave and the lady will give the driver directions.[It is south of the Old Market Area and on the same road as
the Moon Residence and Spa and Baray Boutique and Spa.]

Grinch - Are you in KSA? If so, can you accumulate date stones and bring them back to Cambodia?
[Keep them in a tupperware container in the back of the fridge until the day you fly]

You will be duly rewarded

Love Olive but L'Annexe and Abacus are right up there, too.

I wouldn't disagree and for the price bracket... L'Annexe is fucking incredible. It's where I had my leaving party in Siem Reap. Lots of very happy eaters.

L'Annexe awaits in the near future, then.

Nobody mentioned Barrio (a misleading name) for its food.

Please start collecting date stones, O Grinch. A reward awaits, I promise.

I thought Barrio was very good and went several times but my French ami who left Siem Reap after me said she felt the quality had slipped - so it didn't get a mention.

It's been a long time since the Grinch was in KSA. You'll find me in the LoS nowadays... no date stones, sorry.
