Are 50 cent beer drinking "Sihanoukville guys" driving Kampot restaurants broke?

It sounds like there's some tension between the young dreadlocks-wearing types who have lived in Kampot for 3+ years and the recent refugees from Sihanoukville.
I like the use of the term "Snookyville care," suggesting that the places selling 50 cent beers are now akin to nursing homes for the decrepit.

Maybe put the price of beer up and make the 50c beers only for food orders. You could then even have a meal include a free beer in some items....... let them go infest another place. Now... back to my rocket science.

What will become of these "guys from Sihanoukville"? Will they be slowly hounded out of Kampot by rising beer prices and suddenly find themselves on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, the marvelous capital? Unable to gain a foothold in the glamorous new metropolis they might find themselves soon living a nomadic existence before inevitably succumbing to vice, gluttony and eventually wrath.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

The most surprising thing I learned from this story is that Kampot has a gym.

Seems like a simple solution: one says "50¢ beers with order of $5 or $10 or whatever you'd like," the other says "customers may not stay longer than 3 hours."

all the bars need to do is say everyone must charge a buck a beer.i know it would never happen but its the only way. Then the snookyites will drink at the mini marts, loads do in pp but the beer is cheaper in certian bars

That might be the case for a few places but many also eat and drink too
