Young Western Tourists Enjoy First Tuk-Tuk Ride in Cambodia

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

They must be doing good business at night with the Chinese and casinos, because they are always asleep in the day, so now I call passapp when I need a tutktuk.
I was only using the neighbors' tuktuks because I thought they needed the business, (support your neighbors), but I've been over there twice to wake them up recently and now I understand. :BangHead:
Same story here..

The local Passapp guild moved in next door... 3 of them.

I try to ask them if they want my business but they never seem to - wierd.

When I walk the dog I see loads of them snoring away on all corners.

So I just dial up and one arrives from km away it seems.

On the bright side - the neighbors now regale me with their KTV style drunken singing at all hours...

Along with 'ladies of the night' visiting them and kicking up a fuss for one thing or another for that added entertainment bonus..

KoW indeed

I always miss tuk tuk and passapp when in Vietnam. Why they don’t have it? Mystery. Come to appreciate it more in Cambodia.

LOL
One of my tuk tuk driver friends, a well-known well-respected German speaking one from the Riverside,
turned up with his family in Koh Kong one New Year.
Three SUV's, Three new year triple-priced best hotel rooms right on the river, and eating crab three times a day all holiday.
Brother is a CPP big boy in sihanoukville but i think my mate is the rich one of the family.
So i don't "support" his business any more - i ask for free rides and to borrow money when i'm caught short in the big city.
