I think so. I didn't know what I wanted, but when I met what I really hated I figured out what I don't want in the life.vladimir wrote:When life is good all the time, you don't appreciate it.prahkeitouj wrote:If life is a rullercoaster, I'll never enjoy it. I do hate it.

That's right. Run you life as if it were a business. Treat you friends as if they are your best customer and people you meet as if they are future potential customers.
Unless you are a bank, don't loan or borrow money, [ with friends ] and write all money transactions down on paper, just like a bank.
We like dealing with business that have a good reputation and honour their word [ guarantee ]. Do the same, and people will like dealing with you.
If you tell lies to someone, you are lying to yourself.
We all make mistakes, but if you make a mistake,, admit it. Much easier to trust a person who admits their mistake than someone in denial.
Sorry,, But sometimes I fail to take my own advice.

Ducan, good example, but life is not a job or bussiness. We don't need to satisfy everyone. If they treat us right, just treat they well. To me life is an art.

i agree with this analogy, i see my life like a business and give similar advice (think i said something similar to Samouth) you happiness is like the profit of the business, in order to generate good profit you need to run a good business, only have employees (your friends) that help you create a good profit for you business, those who dont, give them the sack! lol whilst you must take your business (your life) seriously dont take it too seriously, otherwise you wont enjoy your work (life) hahaDuncan wrote:prahkeitouj wrote:Invest our lives?Duncan wrote:The problem is , we go through life using the FREE ticket we were given at birth,,,,, We all have the opportunity to upgrade that ticket by learning or trade that ticket for drugs, booze and the other luxuries of life.prahkeitouj[b] wrote:If life is a rullercoaster, I'll never enjoy it. Happiness is a byproduct of function, purpose, and conflict; those who seek happiness for itself seek victory without war.

I guess I'd say that I swing between 10 and 90 on that scale at any moment in time. As I grow older, I'm always astounded at the human capacity for being both amazing to other people and being awful to them.

Cool. Pretty much the way I feel. Fairly happy until the feelings of self/ external loathing come on again. Nothing quite like the human aging process. Not saying that we are not like it when we are young, just that we are more aware of it perhaps, the older we get.
