If you drive an expensive car you're probably a jerk, scientists say

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

If you drive an expensive car you're probably a jerk, scientists say

Post by Whatsupdoc »

Article on CNN
The science is looking pretty unanimous on this one: Drivers of expensive cars are the worst.

A new study has found that drivers of flashy vehicles are less likely to stop and allow pedestrians to cross the road -- with the likelihood they'll slow down decreasing by 3% for every extra $1,000 that their vehicle is worth.

Hopefully the study didn't cost too much, I notice this behavior while cycling in Phnom Penh every day.

I believe it doesn't apply here...
People here treasure their cars more than anything else. They wouldn't want you to dirty or even touch their precious expensive car.

That is unless you are a girl, then they treasure their smartphone more than anything else. Interesting question,,, Ask a girl which of the two she would lose first. Her smartphone or her virginity.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

I'm trying imagine the situation that could even possibly lead to that question.
