You've been in Cambodia too long when....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

^ LoL.

I know I've lived in Cambodia too long when.... I go to a Walgreen's pharmacy back in the States and the fuckers are closed (the pharmacy part, not the whole place) because it's 10:03PM, so I can't buy some cold medicine......I come back the next day, the cold medicine is behind the freaking counter, a have to give the lady my government issued ID, which she scans through her machine, and then I have to accept the terms and conditions, electronically sign something that says I haven't and won't be buying any more of this controlled substance within 14 days or something... I didn't have the heart to ask her what worthless candy she could sell me to help me get a good night's sleep.

Jeez. I'm used to walking into a pharmacy, asking for a strip of Valium to help me sleep for $1, but told that they'll give me a discount if I just go ahead and buy the whole box. And deciding between codeine and Tramadol for a mild headache, and usually getting both for fun if I don't have to work the next day.

I find the above statement to just be plain false in my own personal experience. Other way around for me. Western white girls were ... well, not all boring. Women are women. There are great ones anywhere on the globe.
