Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations
I'm for mandatory except those groups that it is not safe to do so eg allergic reaction, pregnant, breastfeeding et al.
For the benefit of mankind so we can move on with life. To me the alternative of no vaccine and let natural immunity do it's thing is unpalatable in terms of the number of deaths and the timeframe.
I'll stick my neck out and say those that refuse vaccination are to an extent being selfish to the rest of the community (especially if you have a lot of contact/mixing with others). Whilst vaccines do not prevent transmission 100%, they are nevertheless approx. 50% effective. Just my view FWIW

If vaccinated you can still carry the same viral load.
The choice should be yours!

Mandatory. As long as you take up a hospital bed for COVID, you're possibly preventing others from getting needed treatment.
If you're not vaccinated, it's your burden.

Vaccination should always be an individuals choice.

Don't think it's quite that simple.clutchcargo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 11:59 am I'll stick my neck out and say those that refuse vaccination are to an extent being selfish to the rest of the community (especially if you have a lot of contact/mixing with others). I see plenty of people (even those clearly in risk groups) rubbing shoulders in the bars like nothing ever happen, and we know covid spreads even between vaccinated people and no vaccine is perfect, especially not for risk groups. So whether they are vaccinated or not, their behavior is problematic.
Someone staying at home and practicing social distancing, while not belonging to any risk group, seems like a much smaller issue even though they may not be vaccinated yet.
And it does appear that countries where people are educated and take personal responsibility are doing way better than those just trying to enforce things.

Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations
So some people have been scaremongered into being for forced vaccinating everyone for a virus that mostly affect old and sick people. Globally the ifr of covid is below 0.15% (over all age groups) a serious flu season has an ifr of 0.1%. Vaccinating children is beyond retarted.
The average person that died with covid had 5 or more comorbidities. If the governments cared about their population they should have used their scare mongering to get people into a healthier lifestyle .
Since natural immunity seems way better than immunity from a mRna or regular vax, they should do a T-cell response test of everyone. 80% of the people catching covid don't even realize they had it.
If the vax works, people that are vaxed shouldn't worry about people that go with the natural immunity route.
If you are favor of making anything that goes into a person mandatory, you support "medical rape" and a totalitarian government.

Vaccines work. Making a vaccine mandatory is not the way to go.
I think the pro-abortion lobby has already made the point quite well ... "My body. My choice"

Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations
Booked in to get my shot this week.
I'm not sure how I feel about making it mandatory -I get the my body my choice argument - but when you see reports of overwhelmed hospitals, overworked staff, people being turned away because there are no beds for them etc I can see a strong case for making it mandatory. There should never be a situation where someone has an operation delayed or cancelled, or an accident victim needs to be driven around trying to get into a hospital because the beds are chock full of people who chose not to get the free shot that would have most likely kept them from being hospitalised.
I think the fairest situation would be if you choose not to get vaxxed you get health care only IF you're not going to be taking resources from non-covid related cases.

Re: Do you agree with mandatory vaccinations
Most governments are coming to the conclusion that restrictions and lockdowns can only ever be a temporary solution, and the hope of a permanent return to personal freedom (socalising, exercising, bars, restaurants, sports events etc) relies on a fully vaccinated population - just like polio, TB or any number of problems that are under control. Given we are in a age of craziness, if we want to return to some sort of normality we cannot tolerate those who refuse voluntary vaccination, despite the fact they may have genuine fears and concerns. Mandatory? Does that mean compulsory? I effing hope so. Covid may always be with us, like the flu or like malaria, but if its under control we can get our lives back.
Refuseniks? take em out back and shoot em. Under rule 303.
BTW yes I have had two shots of Sinopharm. I dont know if it will really do any good, its more of a PR exercise, so I can say "I am safe, I've had the jab". Its a bit like playing the lottery. A lot of folks tell you its a waste of money, you will never win. But you stand even less chance of winning if you dont buy a ticket.
