13 Years Illegal in Cambodia - let's celebrate

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

13 Years Illegal in Cambodia - let's celebrate

Post by Whosmoralsarelastix »

Hi there. Next Friday I've got an anniversary. I'm 13 years illegal in Cambodia and I got to celebrate that. If you like you can join me next Friday, 8 p.m. at the Rosy bar in Siem Reap. All beers are on me.

Sure thing, bro! Just hand me over your passport information (I have to make sure you're legit) and I'll probably bring a few bucks of tea money and some well but equal dressed friends with me! :)

13 years?

Lightweight. I'll come to your 20th anniversary.

You are barking up a wrong tree. It was a question of a bet. We have made a bet that no police would show up at this place even if they knew or even if they have received a tip that such a person would be there at a specific time.

Cambodian police can’t be bothered with such cases. Too much paperwork involved and no money. If we would have published that somebody in this bar would carry a $ 100,000 police would have surrounded the bar within an hour, arrested everyone or even worse.

Maybe Cambodian police don't read CEO?

In any case, I'll be at Rose Bar this weekend with a briefcase containing $100,000... hope no cops come.
