WOW - Bob Marley Interiew

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Great clip Gav. I have been a reggae fan since the early seventies when London was awash with reggae. George Negus and his crew are wankers, $1000 a day for protection-bollocks. I followed people like Johnny Nash, Jimmy Cliff, The Mighty Diamonds, Bob Marley,Gregory Isaacs, Burning Spear and many others from way back. Marley's grandfather was a Syrian Jew, there were many Syrians in the West Indies. Errol Flynn washed up on Jamaica never having heard of it and he had a 14 year old Syrian GF. There is a book about Ian Fleming called the Man With the Golden Typewriter, of course Fleming had the house in Jamaica and he knocked out a James Bond book every year when on holiday. His next door neighbour and GF was the mother of Chris Blackwell who founded Island Studios. Fleming asked the movies producers to use him as their soundman, hence Fleming was responsible for Bond and Marley!
There was an Australian guy who died last year who was the real father of reggae and had a studio in Jamaica in the fifties, I forget his name.
Good on you Gav, I love this stuff as you can see. My fav reggae track Peter Tosh-Johnny B. Goode.
