I always get the shits in Sihanoukvillle. I put it down to the water....
All my mates have moved from there, the bars are now mostly shit, the cops are money hungry and the "beach" .....
The beach could only appeal to those who have never seen one.

Getting the squirts is how snookieville says "I love you". I'm in Derby at the moment and the piles of rubbish and shit in the streets gives me fond memories...

Not at all. It's a big, beautiful island with lots of beaches - some populated (like the Long Beach 'strip' just south of Duong Dong) and some deserted. There's just nothing to do after you've toured the island (takes two days)... except go to the beach.
You could be next.

I found the same problem with my last visit to Yorkshire.cptrelentless wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 8:21 am Getting the squirts is how snookieville says "I love you". I'm in Derby at the moment and the piles of rubbish and shit in the streets gives me fond memories...
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Re: Would u return to Snookie... Is it now THAT bad?
I spent a few months in Sihanoukville over many visits and I left this year and never plan to go back again.
I have nothing to do there since they destroyed all the nightlife, it doesn't even have a decent supermarket or mall, and the expat population is not like Phnom Penh at all. On the other hand it's kind of dangerous living there, the water is dirty, I went swimming once and got a bacterial infection from Occheauteul beach, after that I didn't even feel like swimming there. So what can I do? No mall, no swimming, no nightlife? It used to be somewhat interesting like a Wild West kind of interesting place, but this Chinese takeover and razing Occheauteal beach was the last nail in the coffin for me. I don't find it interesting at all now.
