considering her family will be demanding a higher "Thlai Dtuk Doh" if she is still "Prum Charey" when she gets married, as JB said, the answer is a simple "Yes"

Not entirely true anymore. For many families in the city, it's now more a matter of the size of the wedding being planned rather than whether or not she's a virgin (which they're often unaware of anyways).

how would mom ( and especially dad) know she is or isn't?? thought virgin brides went out decades ago. :beer3:

i have always been led to believe the envelopes go her parents to help defray the costs they spent for the ceremony
Usually the parents really dont "make" much if any.

$20 is plenty
