Why do Western women visit Cambodia?

I was just reading a thread about a Western women making a fool of herself in a coffee shop in Cambodia (title of post is "Dumb foreigner thread" in General Chatter), and I got to wondering: Why do Western women visit or move to Cambodia? What are their motivations? And are there any Western women who are members of this site? Just curious to hear your thoughts about these things

I'm not a woman, but sexpats aside (in most cases) wouldn't everyone's motivation be the same?
Experience a new culture, travel, cheap living, work, drama back home... None of the usual reasons are really gender specific.

Mental illness, drug addiction, running from the law, or really into the remnants of old temples -- the usual reasons.

It's just a pity we didn't have a lot of western women posting on this form so we could get a reply. Even the ones that are members on this forum have been given such a hard time they don't want to post as they will only be hassled with sexest replies.
Which also makes me wonder why we have no.. or very few Cambodia members posting.

One of my female relatives visited Cambodia for 6 months as part of her undergraduate college coursework (health sciences), so educational exchange is another reason.

We have a fair few western women working in our office, of different ages. They seem to enjoy the nightlife, which is mainly centered around Bassac Lane. Also they like buying material from the markets and checking out the abundance of tailors. They also like to cook. They never seem bored.

except for bedding the local ladies ( an even that is not 100%) what would be the dif between a male and a female to travel / visit Cambodia?

Females drink, gamble, whore, sit in the sun, eat, visit temples etc etc.....

prob because it's a site geared toward English speaking foreigners ran by English speaking foreigners AND it's also not Facebook

I know a primary school teacher, a physiotherapist, a manager for Heineken..... All Western, young women....
