I saw a couple of years ago in some bar on 130 a english or aussi girl, tall, skinny, short blond hair and fake boobs. She presented hereself as "also available", i smiled to her and said that she is exactly the reason i run away from europe and i like small girls with long black hair and real boobs. When i asked her that she does get customers, she smiled also and said that often expats get boored from small girls with long black hair. Didnt see her again everever. No idea why she came here, probably a backpackers-tour gone wrong ???

Just go to the Bassac lane after midnight on weekends and you will know...

It's an interesting question only if you assume that foreign men primarily come to Cambodia for the women. Other than that, it's a bit like asking why women visit France, or Australia or India.

Women like to travel just as much as men, so I guess their reasons for travelling to a particular country, once you remove the sexpat element, would probably be just as varied.

That being said, I do sometimes wonder if some women do travel to Cambodia because they like Cambodian men and are looking to find a Khmer male partner. Many western men say they like Khmer women because they generally have a more traditional attitude towards what it is to be a woman. They are more likely to accept traditional female gender roles, such as staying at home to bring up the kids and run the household - attitudes that are becoming rarer and rarer in females in western society.

Men too have changed in recent times in western countries. I think it's fair to say that there has been a feminisation of men over the last generation or so, where men feel they aren't allowed to be men anymore, for fear of the 'toxic masculinity' label.

So on the same theme, I wonder if some women come here looking for a man who is more of a traditional male, someone who fits the traditional gender role of a man, without all the westernised baggage of being labelled 'toxic' just because he's not affected by modern western attitudes of 'what it is to be a man' these days.

I guess it is more of an interesting question once you think about it, than at first glance.

Apparently, western women are very much into the countryside, so they probably come to enjoy Cambodia's less developed areas.

Yes, I wonder if he's ever been here. If he has he's probably never been outside of 136/104 etc.

I have been to Cambodia, and I don't think all men come to Cambodia just for mongering. However, there are so many awesome places around the world, so I want to know why women might specifically choose to come to Cambodia as opposed to all of the other options.
And, come on, can't you give me the benefit of the doubt a little bit before making assumptions about me?
