So why were General Mackevili and KiR hanging out so much...

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

General Mackevili wrote:K440 is now a forum where the Admin posts public PM's between other members in an attempt to humiliate them, and now they even have a Mod that recently posted another user's PM's (at least those PM's were sent to him though and not between 2 other members).

After that, I would have a real hard time being an active member over there, knowing that the Admin and Mods don't have a problem with posting private PM's if you get on their bad side.
No kidding. Damn, I thought people who design forum software would somehow encrypt these messages to avoid things like this. Doesn't seem right that you should even be able to do this.

The fact that they are doing it, is totally despicable...

If they have so many connections with high ranking officials, how can they all get locked in a bar by a bunch of Aussies and held hostage for hours on end???

You could probably not avoid various fractions getting into it with each other here, hence the 'incident'.

If I remember rightly from what was posted, the local official they brought in at the time took one look inside the bar and scurried off wanting fuck all to do with it. Not sure if that was before or after the brave and mighty 440 leader pissed himself and said he was late for his bus and wanted to leave.

So this baldheaded dude is still running the same business?

http://www.andrew-drummond.com/2013/08/ ... nting.html

Is this is a fabricated story then?

I was under the understanding that they were all being victims of goon squad tactics, not an often used strategy between expats working here, at least not publicly.

No, that story is true. He did lock a bunch of expats in a bar. K440 did do a good job exposing him (to their credit).
