Why I do not feel any guilt being rich

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Sounds like sarcasm but yes, its a total scam and a dawdle of a job, which pays very well. My days are spent mostly just hanging around campus, smiling and playing "sage on stage" which is another issue. Chinese like to take notes, they like to copy everything down. I tried to break them of this habit when I first arrived but parents complained. They said I needed to slow down so their kids could take notes. I argued the point with the British Head and he 100% agreed but said "hey, this is China."

I swear, since then, I create powerpoints, project them onto the screen and my students then copy exactly into their notebooks while I make comments and ask a few questions. Its so mind numbingly boring and ineffective but hey "this is China."
To gladly teach and gladly learn.

I find it unlikely that a rich person would do a white monkey job, so how much in dollars are you worth? If you're going to come on here and brag about it maybe come up with some actual goods.

Dont know about China, but the top schools in Thailand have the elite attending. It's NOT the education they are after
its the admission to a US, UK or Australian university and the contacts they make with their fellow students..
Much as it is with the public schools in the UK.

Go look at the poor whites on the islands off of SNV working for food, drinks and a few $/day
or those running their own business in Kampot, where if their lucky, they get by each month with maybe a few $$ to spare for their visa..

But hey.
Their living the life :beer3: :beer3:

I somehow like the content/substance of what Steve and Bat are preaching :stir: , there's some truth behind what they're saying but the style/form is absolutely terrible hence not reaching many people :assasin:

You just know someone is wealthy when they cite buying a pair of shoes for a child as evidence of their superior financial standing.
