why so much disrespect for those recently passing

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Cowshed Cowboy wrote: Tue Nov 27, 2018 8:35 am It's pretty simple really, focus specific mod attention on the death threads and issue a standard 1 week ban for anyone posting poor taste or disrespectful comments, 3 strikes and you're out permanently. It should make those offenders reevaluate their comments and if they don't they'll be gone and hopefully not let back in with a new sock. It's the worst aspect of the forum and why you need to direct action when you're clearly losing contributors or you'll slowly but surely go the way of the other forum.

What has always annoyed me about the comments on death threads is when it is a long termer that is well known to posters it is normally made very clear that " we all knew him so no shit comments will be tolerated, respect please ", yet when it is a tourist or anonymous resident to the board it's open season. Massive double standard that needs to addressed, it really isn't that difficult mods.

All the shit talk, bickering, periodic over zealous debates are fine amongst the living, and I would say that since That Moron/Vladimir isn't around that side of things has improved noticeably. The modding still seems at the right level in that respect in my opinion.
This is the cock sucker I'm talking about, mods. He comes back and you can count me gone!

Hate to break it to you but he's already back, as 'jw85'.

He was on a bit of a one-liner posting splurge as of last night as a matter of fact.

It was nice knowing you Rogue...but it seems that the mods have a soft spot for him.

That coupled with the fact that he lacks even the most basic level of introspection, regretfully means that this cycle of idiocy will continue unabated without the least bit of self improvement or self censorship needed to acclimate oneself to a diverse forum, in order to become a member of venerated status.

Maybe you are suggesting the admirability factor was already lost by sheer virtue of them already living in Cambodia..

Seriously tho, an in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis is needed to assess the respective fucktwat status.. and determine the associated criteria and performance indicators to apply therein..maybe conduct population surveys with respective control groups so that robust, effective comparisons can be determined. Rinse and repeat with a view to achieving final irrefutable statistical results any member of this forum cannot dispute. :hattip:

Well, I don't know this 'someone' you're referring to, but since you quoted my post...I'll just reiterate...jw85 is indeed vladimir.

he has 25 positives and 1 negative so , he is flying below the troll radar at present.
please do report objectionable behavior, use ignore feature, or negative karma as appropriate.
I am a little preoccupied to be hunting down suspects for burning at present.

Not sure why you are so butthurt, but very obsessive, even creepy. You don't think following somebody and noting all their posts is kind of creepy, perhaps in a deviant way?

Open to meet up and talk over your perceived slight, apologise if I feel I am genuinely in the wrong, GM or flb can be there. But we both know you won't do that.

Who/what makes you think je suis NOT jw85?

You could just put me on ignore, but you seem to take a perverse pleasure in whining to everybody your obsession.

I'm ignoring you from now on, but just placing on public record my offer to meet and move on.

Opens thesaurus.

The above member is banned, as I think we ALL know how this story ends again and again...

Thanks again to everyone in the community's comments on here, and it looks like we mostly agree on the same things, to similar degrees.

Us on the Mod Team have been discussing this, and I'll be sure to update this topic soon.
