Why are you here?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. For me, I think this is a good forum. It can be quite informative and mostly good natured.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Hmm...well, clearly, I mean, like, why would it be interesting to other people as to why you post on a particular forum? Clearly I mean Cambodia. As in the country.

Why have you all chosen to leave your home countries to live here? (Cambodia)

xandreu do you also live in Cambodia? Would you agree most posters who contribute to this type of forum live in the country.
What part of the world was your home. Is it still or are you here full-time, if so how long and are you enjoying it. I may have this all wrong and this could be your own country.
But you asked the subject question and started the thread, would you like to start things moving?

I got sent for a 6 month work contract and ended up staying 11 years.

Recently left and have come back to NZ and now wish I had come back sooner. I’m enjoying life here a lot more than I used to in Cambodia in the later years.

Might need to change my username to Kiwiwasincambodia

I didn't leave my home country to live here. But, here I am nonetheless.

I don't. I live in Vietnam.

I considered retiring to Cambodia... but in the end, it was 'no contest'.
You could be next.
